New clinic goes skin deep
Monday, 01 March 2010 11:23

An innovative new clinic is offering men and women everything from a facial to a full facelift.

Evolution, believed to be the only clinic of its kind in the UK, offers a full-range of life-enhancing treatments, starting from regular manicure and pedicures, through professional and wedding make-up, traditional wet shaves, facials, fillers and microdermabrasion – to a full facelift.

Working in conjunction with leading plastic surgeon John Davison, who has weekly consulting rooms at the clinic, the fully-trained staff pride themselves on offering both men and women a superior service – right on the High Street.

Situated in Burgate, Canterbury, just a stone’s throw from the Cathedral, Evolution also offers acupuncture and osteopathy, for both adults and children.  The latest non-surgical facelift, using fine acupuncture needles, is one of its most popular treatments.

Greyfox feeding Google
Tuesday, 16 February 2010 12:33

Leading independent Medway estate agency Greyfox has commenced feeding its properties directly to a 'proposed' new UK property listing service operated by the internet giant Google.

Already operational in Australia and the United States, Google is extending its reach by providing information on properties for sale via its Google Maps service. By using its web crawling expertise to search the web for properties listed for sale, Google is republishing this information directly to its Map service. However, this is an automated search and can prove to be inaccurate which has led Greyfox to work with its software providers to set up a direct, live format feed that will post regular updates to Google to ensure all property listings are current and accurate.

Twinkle, Twinkle , Little Stars.......
Thursday, 25 February 2010 10:21

Reception Classes at Sutton Valence Preparatory School were transformed into one gigantic fairy story as children - and Reception staff – came into school dressed as fairytale characters.

Several Snow Whites and Little Red Riding Hoods came face to face with knights, princes, pirates, fairies and wolves as their imaginations ran riot on the last day of the half term.

Foundation Stage Co-ordinator Carla Johnson said: “The children had been counting down the days to their fairytale day and their costumes reflected how hard they had been working in the lead up to it.”

The day began with children participating in a variety of fairytale workshops, including wand, crown and mask making and cooking ‘poisonous’ toffee apples.

Each class thought up their own fairytale based around the characters they had come dressed as.Miss Johnson said: “We had some very creative stories including one where the big bad wolf was turned into a frog by a wizard.  Luckily we had lots of knights and princes to save the princesses in our stories.”
