Friday, 08 January 2010 15:40

All refuse & recycling collections due on Thursday and Friday have been suspended.
The local parish council have suspended all recycling and refuse collections on Wednesday 6th January 2010, Thursday 7th January 2010 and Friday 8th January 2010.

Wednesday 6 January:
Despite the bad weather conditions, we completed most of the scheduled collections due on Wednesday 6 January. However, if you were one of the few properties that we did not manage to access, please leave your bin out and we will attempt to collect as soon as it is feasible to return.  We are aware of which roads did not receive a collection and will give priority to catching up in these areas early next week (weather permitting). Please check this web site for further updates.

If your BLACK BIN collection is due on Thursday 7 or Friday 8 January:
We will collect your black bin next week on you normal collection day (weather permitting), together with any extra sacks. If you wish to place your green-lidded bin out at the same time, we will also collect any green waste you may have. Please note that this will not be composted, but treated as normal refuse instead.

Alternatively, you may wish to save your green waste for composting and place it out for your next scheduled collection in the week starting 25 January. Any additional sacks of green waste you may have accumulated will also be collected at that time.

Your green box will be collected separately, as scheduled next week.
If your GREEN-LIDDED BIN collection is due on Thursday 7 or Friday 8 January:
We will collect your black bin next week on you normal collection day (weather permitting). If you wish to place your green-lidded bin out at the same time, we will also collect any green waste you may have. Please note that this will not be composted, but treated as normal refuse instead.
Alternatively, you may wish to save your green waste for composting and place it out for your next scheduled collection in the week starting 18 January. Any additional sacks of green waste you may have accumulated will also be collected at that time. Your green box will be collected on the same day.

Bulky Item Collections:
Bulky item collections booked for Thursday 7or Friday 8 January have also been suspended. We will be contacting residents to rebook these collections as soon as possible.

Saturday Householy Bulky Waste Service
This service is likely to be suspended on Saturday 9 January. Please check web site for further updates.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused during this period.

Please continue to check this website for further updates as the weather progresses.
