Unique authentic Christmas experience for families back in Kent
for 4th year
LaplandUK, the award-winning* magical Christmas experience has announced its winter season dates, this year from 4th-24th December.
The multi-million pound interactive theatrical production which recreates Father Christmas’ arctic homeland has become a favourite destination for families seeking the ultimate Father Christmas experience here in the UK.
This season is LaplandUK’s fourth year of operation and the captivating Nordic-inspired day out will again be located at the beautiful Bewl Water Estate, near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, just 40 miles from Central London.
Tickets are priced this year from £44.50 rising to £62.50 and will go on sale from 26th July. Prices are on average 30% cheaper than last year. Bookings must be completed in advance and can be made on-line at www.laplanduk.co.uk; tel: 0871 620 7063 (Booking fee applies)**.
Mike Battle, Founder and Managing Director, explains how he has achieved the lower prices for this winter without compromising the quality of the event: “We are keen to make the LaplandUK experience available to a wide range of families in these challenging economic times. So we have managed to lower the ticket prices by reducing capacity – we will only be operating for three weeks this winter and running costs are consequently greatly reduced. Our customers have told us that although the food we have provided in the past was overwhelmingly popular they would like greater flexibility over food choice during their day at LaplandUK. By removing the cost of the food from the ticket price we can make good savings and pass these on to the public too. All the other elements of the magical LaplandUK experience that have become so popular with families will stay the same.”
Mike continues: “Customers should know that there will be fewer tickets available this year.”
Included in the ticket price is the opportunity for every child to decorate gingerbread in Mother Christmas’ kitchen, go “ice-skating”, meet husky dogs, see reindeer, send a postcard from Father Christmas' working North Pole Post Office, work with the elves on a new activity in Father Christmas’ toy factory and meet the mystical Sami people.
A personalised visit to Father Christmas himself in his snowy forest home completes this unique day and because parents or guardians have already provided Father Christmas with all the information he needs (via the website), he “magically” knows everything about his little guests and presents every child a beautiful high quality gift. And the tradition at LaplandUK is that the children will each receive LaplandUK’s new annual collectable husky puppy soft toy, this year called “Joki” (which means River in Finnish). Regular visitors each year are collecting their own husky sled dog team.
Families will be able to purchase a range of quality warming snacks and meals as well as hot and cold drinks in the Nordic restaurant on site. Warm mulled wine will be available for adults to purchase too.
It’s a recipe that has enchanted over 120,000 visitors to date and promises to do the same again this year.
LaplandUK's vision is to provide a high quality Lapland-inspired Christmas experience for all the family here in the UK as an alternative to flying to Lapland, thus enabling children to have an enchanting Christmas day trip without generating extra carbon emissions.
Now in its fourth year, LaplandUK will again be staged at the beautiful Bewl Water Estate in the heart of Kent within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the villages of Lamberhurst, Wadhurst and Ticehurst.
